We Did a Thing: ‘Effortless Cool is a Detailed Process’

bs-party-1.jpgThe Ben Sherman store in SoHo celebrated its one-year anniversary last night with a party that blended the best and worst in alcohol, expensive clothing, and obnoxious dance music. Bass was on the scene with its delicious tap brews, which were countered by the disgustingness of the cough-syrupy Jekyll & Hyde shots being handed out in the back of the store courtesy of Anheuser Busch. As for the crowd: a mix of downtown hipsters and douchey MisShapes kids, Brit pop/punk/mod types, aging European men, and gays. There was some sort of one-night only sale going on, but let’s face it – people showing up to a party primarily for the free booze most likely cannot afford designer British clothing (I usually buy mine off the Lord & Taylor sale rack). Needless to say, we left the store empty handed, albeit slightly drunk. But we did learn a valuable lesson: bs-party-2.jpg

Um…riiiiiight.
