We Love Writing About Goulds
Even though this has been on newsstands for about a week, here’s a really good article from the Voice about Elliott Gould. It explains why he never reached super-stardom in the 1970s like DeNiro and Pacino, even though his career was at one point headed on a similar track. I think I manifested this story by watching The Long Goodbye, California Split and an episode of “Friends” all in the same week. If you haven’t seen either of these films, they are among Gould’s best efforts. He is also pretty good as Ross and Monica’s dad.
