We Did a Thing: McSorley’s

Basically, any pub that’s gotten Abraham Lincoln, Woodie Guthrie and John Lennon drunk is cool with us. Throw in a wood-burning stove, sawdust-speckled floor, hot mustard, cheese, crackers, and tasty home brews that are no-nonsense and uncomplicated (light or dark, $4.50 for two mugs, case closed), and you have yourself any number of superlatives.
We at Stay Cold went ahead and did a thing Tuesday night: That is to say, we congregated at the 153-year-old saloon and got hammered. Actually, we pretty much get hammered there on the regular, so this shit comes highly recommended—and it’s one of the best ways to expel those cubicle blues.

My pops used to hit this place when it was 70 cents for 2 mugs and no chicks allowed.

I think the funniest thing about this place is the large, crotch level window looking into the mens room.
